Artist Statement
I continue to look at my past work, much of which hangs on my studio walls.  All of the work hanging in my studio is pleasing to me - otherwise it comes down and is re-worked.  I've reached a point where nothing left in my possession is so precious as to preclude improvement or change.

My focus on still life allows me to use objects as metaphor and to experiment with the design of the space (often seen as stage-sets), using dense or sometimes sparse compositions, allowing objects to interact, enhance one another and enlighten the viewer.

I continue to return to the figure and portraiture, the foundation of my work.
